The bus to Christchurch or searching for the new Ally Sheedy...

I took a bus from Napier to Wellington, last week, and was surprised by some of the passengers. This one girl made herself a sandwich and it was white bread with brown sugar. I thought to myself, how bizarre, and then I immediately remembered Ally Sheedy in the Breakfast Club. You know, the character that made a drawing from her dandruff, not to mention some of the food she ate. So, today as I am riding along, I look ahead of me and this guy is scratching his head, profusely, taking his hands away and then smelling his fingers. He grossed me out until I met the winner. This girl was eating her hand half of the time and the other half, playing with her hair. She wasn't wearing shoes most of the bus trip and her jacket reeked of sour clothes. I was fortunate to not be sitting with her, but she was near me the entire trip. I don't know...maybe traveling for extended amounts of time can do this to a person.
I thought it was funny and it did make me think of the Breakfast Club. Christchurch is New Zealand's second largest city. They refer to it as the "garden city" and i am off to explore. Again, happy thanksgiving and enjoy!

We had a great day and we enjoyed our great meal. Tom convinced one of the girls to say the "Rub-a-dub dub, thanks for the grab, Yea God" prayer. I don't think Dolores was very happy with Tom or Kristie. It was pretty funny. You know Tom always stirring the pot.
My salmon spread was a huge success and as of now, no one has taken ill.
Tom and I are going with Steve and LaVay to the "Rocky Horror Picture Show" play. I am not sure what LaVay got us into, but you know how Tom enjoys new things. This might be a little too far over the edge.

Christchurch reminded me a little of Eugene and the power hike that you and Jeremy took me on. It looks like there are great views from all over the city. I am wondering how the spring season is. Are the flowers and trees blooming?
I saw a Art Centre Market that looks entertaining. It's open every week-end and could be an interesting place to take in the people of New Zealand. That also reminded me of Eugene.

I am so thankful to have you in my life and the rest of your family.
Happy Thanksgiving to the great network of family and friends that are more connected now that Harmony gave us this great gift. I hope everyone enjoyed the day.

Take Care,
Love Shari

Congratulations on the salmon spread. I love trying new foods on Thanksgiving. I do miss having mashers this year. When I return, I will head to Elway's for au gratin and that will be my fix!
Have fun at the play and who knows...Tom might really enjoy it and probably more so than Steve. I will talk to you later.
Love--
