Take 2

I rented a bike and set off this morning, optimistic in my quest. I had called Tj, from Craggy Range, only to find out that he was in Australia. I set off for a different area of Hastings and met some interesting people and drank some fantastic red wine. Some of the best--Quintology from Matariki, the Doctor from Hatton, The Boundary from Te Awa and Zone 6, also from Te awa. I sampled beer and met the brewer at Roosters. I suppose that it is handy to say that I work in a brewery and that yes, I enjoy beer, too.
I decided to relocate to Havelock North since the ride isn't as long and I am hoping to find cleaner accomodations. The people here, are pleasant, but I have definitely had better accomodations. Plus, I prefer staying near the town center so that I am able to do whatever I want.
My ipod is corrupted, again, and so I am hoping to find an ipod store, or ship it back to the states. I am blue. I miss being able to listen to my ipod, but it is so fragile and i suppose that I am reliant on it, when I shouldn't be. I could be meeting more people, right? I am preparing a box of goods to be sent back to Denver. Any takers?
I have a few more days in New Zealand and am off to Rotorua on Saturday. It has hot springs and volcanic activity. I am excited to sit in a thermal pool. I will have one day in Auckland before I depart for the down under. Wish me luck!!!!

Wow...time is really flying by. I can't believe that you are leaving New Zealand already. Do you know when you are heading towards Penfold Vineyards? I will do more research on you gift of lodging.

I have been thinking about getting a part time job and have decided to try my luck at candle making. I am using 100% soy wax and scents. My first batch was 70% successful. I have been trying to develop a scent that I want to name Harmony. I know that you like the more earthy scents & spice type rather than flowers. If you have some ideas of scents that you think would work good together let me know. It's a work in progress and when I get it just right I might even patent it.
A friend has a little shop and will be selling them for me. My niece Stacie is also going to sell some at her salon.

I named my little company "The Gram Cracker Shoppe". Brian nicknamed my mom "Gram Cracker" and she lovingly accepted the name. My mom always dreamed of opening a little shop. I think the name honors them both.
I'll let you know when I make my first million.

I have room if you want to ship anything here.

Warm you soul in the hot springs.
Love, Shari

I like the candle idea and yes, I prefer more earthy scents. Let me know how it works out. Yes, I knew that Brian had called your mom, gram cracker. There is an antique shop on Colfax which we discovered one day and he rushed in since the name was gram crackers.
I just arrived in Rotorua and I can already tell that I am going to love it here.
