February 28th

Febraury 28th is a day that holds significance for many people that read my blog. On this day, Thursday, i will be drinking wine with Shari in Costa Rica. We are going to do a canopy tour and conclude the day with dinner at a nice restaurant in Manual Antonio and drink Penfold´s wine. I think we will also have a drink at El Avion, the plane that dropped in Nicaragua in 1986 and is now a restaurant in Manual Antonio. Brian and I went there in 2004 and had a wonderful evening with the bartender and her husband, the chef. We envisioned ourselves doing something like that one day--owning a restaurant and being proud of our efforts.
If you remember and have time, please take a moment to reflect on the beauty of life and your ability to live it to the fullest. Have a glass of wine and a toast to Brian Joshua Kellen Thompson with me and Shari.
I love all of you for listening, supporting and trying to understand this journey that I am on. I know that when I am stateside, I owe many drinks/dinners for your kindness and patience...

Harmony and Shari,
I have a headache and heavy heart today, so I'm going to tell you a funny memory of Brian,,, he was about 5, we were at grandma and grandpa's in Windom,,,, he came running stark naked through the house with a "goofy" hat on, laughing all the way,,,, the funniest thing I ever saw,,, I have a lifetime full of memories of Brian,,, since I always convinced him I was his favorite auntie,, I even bought him a t-shirt that said so,,, anyway my heart is with you girls today, take care and I love you,
Jean

Hello Harmony and Shari,
As I looked at Brian's website today I shed a few tears and it also brought a smile to my face. He is so happy on every one of his pics. Then I came home from work and my little pathetic gerber daisy from Bri's memorial had a beautiful flower blooming, and now baby Wyatt is going home today. (A little breath of fresh air into this day.)You both are in my thoughts tonight, Love you, Connie

Before I retire for the evening I would like to reflect on this day. This morning gave rise to an incredible sunrise, a "mini" blizzard for the evening comute home, which I thought was in grand style considering the love Brian had for the snow. I tried to spend my entire day conducting myself as perhaps Brian would of. I took time to call a dear sick friend, told my daughter how proud I was of her and how much I loved her. I appreciated the tenderness expressed by family for our newest member,Wyatt. I experienced extreme highs and lows.

I know you girls and Tom are experiencing the same thing, the tears and the laughs. I wish your journey to be healing and filled with love.

Thinking of you today more than ever.

Love Robin, Terry, Stef, Erik and Wyatt.

Shari and I thank all of you for the love and support you have sent us. The canopy tour was fantastic and a true testament to Brian's life of style. It was amazing to go zinging through the air and feel free, and in a way, understanding where he was in the end.
We stayed at a bed and breakfast and enjoyed the pool and hot tub, after spending the sunset on the beach. Costa Rica continues to be a special place for me and Brian, and now for Shari, too.
We wanted to let you know that we made it here and toasted life, love and the prospect of a new journey.
Love--Harmony and Shari

Hey Harm -

I just wanted to let you know that you are in our constant thoughts & prayers...and that we too toasted Brian and his life last night. We love to think of the time you guys came to visit us down here...and then also our time together at lunch in S-town and our fun time in Lawrence...after the reunion. He was a very special person that we feel very priviledged to have known...and we owe that all to another very important person to us...YOU!!! We love you Harm!

Love -
Hailey, Cory, & Andrew
